Beaches and surfing

In less than an hour
lovely beaches

The Mediterranean, with its lovely beaches, is just an hour's drive away.

This hour's drive to the beaches of Marbella and its surroundings is far from boring. A beautiful sloping road, which is clear and relaxed to drive, leads you along beautiful mountain slopes full of pine trees, almost fairytale like. This favourite route goes via Pueblos blancos - Guaro - Monda - Ojén to Marbella.

Add another hour for the surfing mecca of Europe: Tarifa and further afield spots like Barbate and Caños de Meca. Windsurfing, kite surfing, wave or paddle surfing, live it up on the water.

Never done it before or want to improve your moves? Kees is an all-round and very experienced surfer who will be happy to teach you and share tips and tricks about wind, tides, currents and balance. Sup-boards are for rent everywhere, from La Herradura to Estepona and beyond. For your surfgear you can go to any surf spot, several excellent locations for day rental of top equipment.

Whatever you are looking for in terms of beaches: small/large, crowded/quiet, sandy/stony, bathing suits/nude, it is all there and you can eat really delicious (fish) everywhere! On arrival, we will share our tips if you wish.
