From the first moment I entered La Pura Vida, I felt very welcome and at home. I had the good fortune to stay at La Casita for five full weeks. Partly to work online (good WIFI!) and partly to enjoy the peace, the surroundings and the sun. It became an unforgettable success! Mainly because of the beautiful walks in the Sierra de las Nieves, the hospitality and humor of Kees &Britt, the good tips about visiting the Caminito del Rey, Mรกlaga, Ronda and Estepona, the challenging MTB tour guided by Kees, the village festivals and so on. It tastes like more so see you next year!

Lovely place where you immediately feel at home and unwind. Very well maintained grounds, super clean & nicely decorated cottage and incredibly sweet hosts who like to think about fun activities and restaurants. Perfect base for fun trips in the area. Lots to do within an hour's drive, from beaches and beautiful cities to great walks (Caminito del Rey ?!). We hope to come back here again.

Kees and Britt are hospitable and helpful. Beautiful hiking and biking trips can be made from the location. There are 2 vacation homes in which everything you need is present with excellent beds. Yunquera is a small and authentic village. The center is within walking distance and we were lucky enough to experience a village festival. Very cozy and hardly any tourists which is nice sometimes. Tourist attractions include the town of Ronda and Malaga about 1 hour away by car. All in all a successful vacation. On behalf of the OSBF group I would like to thank Kees and Britt for their efforts to make us feel comfortable. Regards, Ozzy

We were unfortunately only there for a long weekend, but what a treat it was. From our arrival we received a warm welcome, and were immediately immersed in the pure Spanish life. The cabana was neatly arranged and equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was very tasty, and the hospitality was really great. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay here in Spain. The house was clean, very cosy, fully equipped, and fun interiour. I really enjoyed the swimming pool with seating area. Beautiful views of the mountains, green garden. The village Yunquera is beautiful, with some supermarkets, small shops with regional food, and some cafe's. There was good communication with the hosts, they recommended good hiking routes. The area is beautiful, very peaceful and I enjoyed the breathtaking views while hiking. The hosts also told me about some cities nearby, I visited Ronda which I really recommend!

The hosts are super nice and responsive. The breakfast was delicious and the service was fantastic. The cottage is cozy and clean. The area is beautiful with several hiking and biking trails through the mountains. The village has everything you need and the hostess is super helpful with planning trips!

The first days of our trip through beautiful Andalusia we stayed in the cozy cabana of "La Pura Vida. What an apt name! We enjoyed the peace and privacy of the beautiful olive grove and being outside in the breathtaking nature of the Sierra de las Nieves. It really feels like paradise here. Britt and Kees, thanks for all the good care, we would love to come back again!

Paradise for peace seekers At the end of March 2023 we stayed with Kees and Britt with a good bunch of friends. In a short time we did a lot, Ronda, Caminito del Rey, Mรกlaga. But actually I liked the place the best about our trip. The sun loungers by the pool, the cozy Cabana, where the sun whispers through the windows in the morning that the day has begun, the balcony of the upper house the Casita overlooking the mountains. The hosts with their talent to be there for you, but not too emphatic around you. Love it, privacy. Long story short: I already wanted it on our day trips in Ronda and in Malaga and I want it again now: back to Spain, back to this beautiful place in paradise. Nicolline van der Spek, Noordwijk

When we heard a while ago that Britt and Kees (a former colleague) were going to Spain to set up a B&B we immediately thought we wanted to go there. As it was our first flight, it was quite exciting but with some help from Kees/Britt we succeeded. On March 13 we flew with Ryanair from Dรผsseldorf/Weeze to Malaga where Britt and Kees welcomed us and helped us rent a car. Super arranged. From the airport the vacation really started; a new world opened up for us and it was already about 20 degrees. The further we drove away from Malaga the more beautiful it became. After shopping together with Britt/Kees we did some shopping at the Mercadona in Coin and drove on to Yunquera to Britt and Kees's little paradise. We were not used to this: palm, olive, orange and lemon trees in the garden, which would also be our little paradise for a few days. Our stay in the Cabana, fully furnished, was top notch. From our stay we took several days of trips to Malaga, Estepona, Ronda and also visited a lot of picturesque little white villages which afterwards are better not to drive your car into. I also did 2 fantastic bike rides on the road bike. 1st ride together with Kees a lap around the mountain of Yunquera via Casarabonela, El Burgo and back to Yunquera. 2nd ride together with Britt and Kees from Yunquera to Coin, Monda and back to Yunquera. Everything was right about our 7 day stay with Britt and Kees: lots of conviviality, nice weather between 18 and 25 degrees, nice excursions, beautiful bike routes ridden, quite tough. We could write a book about our 7-day stay so beautiful, good and good and pleasant we have experienced and is certainly worth repeating. Hasta La vista Britt and Kees: thanks for the welcome, care and help was absolutely TOP. Saludos: Henk and Tini Price

We were with Britt and Kees at Pura Vida Yunquera in winter/early spring. That meant chilly weather in the mountains and cool on the coast. For us that was fine because we just wanted to see more of Andalusia. We visited Ronda and the Alhambra in Granada and strolled through Mรกlaga: nice streets and ditto restaurants, the popular harbor with giga yachts. Of course we also just stayed cozy in the house by the woodstove with a book and a drink. Kees and Britt also took us on an evening safari on foot through Yunquera which we look back on with pleasure. All in all a very successful mini/birthday vacation. We fully enjoyed all the beauty and special things Andalusia has to offer. Thank you very much for the hospitality. We think it is cool and have respect how you are doing here.

We came for 3 days of MTB cycling in the field and 2 days of MTB cycling with road tires on the road in the beautiful Yunquera Natural Park. It turned out to be 3 days of MTB ENJOYING in the field and 2 days of ENJOYING on the road! But also must be said besides enjoyment: Intense - challenging - inspiring - grueling and technical. UNFORGETTABLE!!! Greetings Gijs

It was a great experience to explore the area from Yunquera on the MTB but also definitely on the road bike. The experience becomes even much better when you know that in the 2nd week of November you can still short/short rides at a temperature of 20Gr +. That alone made us happy. The MTB rides were doable for average/experienced riders. Short and long climbs (and descents) rained one after the other and meanwhile we were presented the most beautiful views. Also on the road bike it was good to ride good and often quiet roads. But just know, there is nothing like a flat road ๐Ÿ˜Š This also makes the stopovers very attractive, especially the good and nice service and the more than reasonable prices. I say, DO IT. Furthermore, I want to thank you (and Britt's daughter) very much for all the care on accommodation, gastronomic, technical and personal care. See you again!!!

Dear Britt and Kees, How wonderful it was to see you in your new beautiful Spanish paradise. There where you are building a new life. The hospitality you offer is great, arriving at the finca with a stocked fridge, a wine rack with beautiful Spanish wines and a cheese board which we enjoyed all week during our drinks by the pool. With Senor Kees out and about, we took walks that we probably wouldn't have taken so long ourselves. Followed by a Spanish tapas lunch with delicious beers at Casa Pepe in the middle of the village of El Burgo. We also enjoyed working on your finca. Erik pruned the orchard and gave green tips. And Ilse enjoyed a few afternoons working at a mosaic table with tiles that came from the old kitchen. George was the pool boy and went through the pool with the vacuum cleaner, which is now beautifully clear. Should the olives need picking, just give a shout, the picking crew is coming. During the 2 days of fiesta in the village of Yunquera, we could also see how you are already integrating with the people in the village and speaking to them effortlessly in Spanish. We didn't experience the fiesta until late at night but we were surprised to see the Spanish girls sitting on the bench in the middle of the village at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning in their beautiful Spanish dresses with crowns, fairly exhausted after a night of hard work. Both houses are well furnished and the beds are lovely! Breakfast on the terrace of La Casita with the beautiful view over the valley was a nice start to our day. Around the Cabana enough space to either sit in the shade or in the sun with of course the terrace on the side with BBQ place for the balmy evenings. In short, we have enjoyed your finca and your ๐Ÿ˜€ and wish you good luck with continuing to build this beautiful location. Love, Erik and Ilse

Yunquera is a very nice typical Spanish village where you can go for your shopping, restaurants and also for a nice stroll. The village is within walking distance of Kees and Britt's LaPuraVida B&B. The chalets are complete and look neat and tasteful. Nothing to complain about. A cozy terrace with swimming pool which is certainly not a luxury in the hot summer months completes it all. For those who love the Spanish hinterland but especially want to walk and / or want to mountain bike in a beautiful nature, this is the place to be! Also, for the culture vultures, to make it complete, it is advisable to make a trip to villages and / or cities such as Ronda and Malaga. Very interesting! All in all, a visit to LaPuraVida Yunquera for bikers, hikers, nature and culture lovers is definitely recommended! Ernst

We were warmly and enthusiastically received by Britt and Kees in their surprisingly nice B&B La Pura Vida just outside the small town of Yunquera. They have worked very hard. But then you get what you pay for! Where to start.... Here we go: Phenomenal views in a green and varied landscape. The vegetation is overwhelming all around. Their beautiful house is flanked at different heights by a cosy, tasteful Cabana and a Casita. We stayed in the Cabana. We were immediately 'at home'. (We did not need the air conditioning or the fireplace). Parking was possible in front of the Cabana. Then: a lovely not too big village within walking distance. Good to do. There is a bakery, a supermarket and we found a very good restaurant! A swimming pool to cool down, although there are plenty of shady spots on the site where you can relax in the sun and enjoy a glass of wine. If you want peace, pampering and or a nice walk with your lover well then this is the place to be! But if you want to soak up even more of this beautiful vast mountainous area, get on the MTB or Gravel or Race bike via Kees and vamos, out you go. Britt and Kees' hospitality felt like a pleasant breeze in warm weather. We conclude but want to say that we wish Britt and Kees all the best with their wonderful new adventure. Will we be coming back here? Definitely! Greetings and kisses from Anita and Gijs.
