The Sierra Nevada has an altitude of 3364+, in two hours you drive from the Mediterranean to the snow, from swimming costume to ski suit. From Yunquera you can be in a ski and snowboard Mecca within 2.5 hours. A lot shorter than going to Austria (and you've already rented the car!). A Spanish aprés ski with tapas and views of the snowy mountains and the Mediterranean, an absolute must.
